A 3 day intense course on how to diagnose and determine bite or occlusal disease. the relationship of body and the bite, the muscles of the head and neck to the teeth. This is the introductory course into how to correctly find the proper bite and recognize complications before they arise.

This six-day intense course features live-patient treatment where the dentist will bring their own patients to the institute. Recommended cases include 8-10 units of porcelain veneers/crowns or a combination of both for a smile design. These cases are completed under the guidance of a clinical instructor.This intense, hands-on, live-patient treatment program concentrates on developing a critical eye for aesthetic excellence. The dentist will not only benefit from personal instruction on their own case, but they will view and help diagnose over 300 restorative units from the other attendees.

This three-day advanced course is for participants with previous orthodontic experience to further their understanding and clinical skills of diagnosis, treatment planning and effective management of the neuromuscular orthodontic/orthopedic case. Distinguishing the simple tooth movement case from the moderate arch development case will be emphasized. THIS IS THE SECOND PART TO THE 3 COURSE SERIES.

This three-day course brings everything together. The focus is on key components in finishing treatment. These components include such areas as combination treatment, appliances, closing options, and aesthetics. The first step in bringing it all together is an understanding of the history. The history is further supported with a review of several case studies spanning many years.
In session three, Dr. Gerber will cover why cases fail and how to avoid common mistakes. Participants will have the tools to present orthodontic cases to patients in an easy-to-understand manor. There is additional coverage on treatment mechanics and treatment sequences specifically as it relates to more complex cases. Participants will also learn several age related treatment options. Finishing to the correct functional treatment is emphasized.
Goal of session # 3: The primary goal of this session is to specifically define final positioning of the maxillo-mandibular relationship from a neuromuscular perspective and to demonstrate the interrelations of treatment concepts and methodology as it relates to the overall scheme of modern aesthetics. THESE DENTISTS WILL HAVE A SUPERIOR TRAINING TO: • Understand postural effects and interrelationships with the occlusion will include a consideration of the balance organ and the central control of total body muscle activity necessary to maintain posture and balance including the hip, the shoulder, and the upper and lower limbs.
• Discuss the neurological and neurotransmitter control of mastication and posture will be examined in sufficient detail to explain the process and mechanism of bruxism and clenching, in particular. In this respect, the functional anatomy of the autonomic nervous system will be reviewed.
• Learn the embryology of the cranial base/upper cervical complex and its importance in developing occlusal plane will include the role of tooth eruption in the determination of the occlusion.
• Interpret the relationship between functional anatomy and acupuncture meridia will receive attention and will include a review of auricular acupuncture points in treatment of pain.
