Karen
Karen first came to my office concerned that she was beginning to look like her Grandmother - only her Grandmother wore dentures! She did not like the way her teeth had worn flat and her face appeared older than she really was. As you can see from her before photos- her front teeth were short and her back teeth were now flat. One of the functions of your front teeth is to separate or protect your back teeth when you chew. Since she had worn down her front teeth - they no longer separated her back teeth when she chewed and her back teeth were now taking forces they were not designed to take. She had always done what her previous dentist had suggested and she repaired her teeth when they were broken however her dentist continued to rebuild her teeth into a chewing system that wasn't working properly. We rebuilt her teeth giving her proper length and function so they would give her the best chance of her teeth lasting her lifetime. We gave her the length back to her face (increased the distance from her chin to her nose) which made her look much younger - making her much happier!

You can see the short front teeth and the flattening of Karen's back teeth in the before photos. We lengthened her teeth and gave her the proper form and function.
