Periodontics Philadelphia, Dr. Stephen Brown, with his unique combination of experience, innovation, academic achievement and community involvement, is one of America’s most distinguished practitioners in the fields of Periodontics and Dental Implants. A graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Brown earned Certificates of Proficiency in Periodontics and Adult Orthodontics from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine, making him the first in the country to acquire this rare double specialty.

Dr. Brown is Professor of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University Schools of Dentistry. Director of the Implant Center at Albert Einstein Medical Center, is certified by the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow of The American and International Colleges of Dentists, College of Physicians of Philadelphia and of the Academy of Osseointegration. He maintains a private practice, specializing in Periodontics, Dental Implants, Plastic and Reconstructive Periodontal Surgery.

Widely published in professional journals, he has contributed to important texts in his field, and is a frequent guest speaker at Dental Schools and Societies in the US and abroad. He served the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Periodontology, and has been President of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Societies of Periodontics and the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration. Additionally, he has been a consultant to companies providing Periodontics and Dental Implant products.

Dr. Brown maintains a practice specializing in Periodontics and Dental Implants in Philadelphia. He is acknowledged as an innovator in dental practice management and has published on the subject.

Active in civic affairs, Dr. Brown and his wife, Pelley, support the arts by their involvement with The Philadelphia Orchestra, and arts organizations in the city of Philadelphia. An avid skier, Dr. Brown is a certified ski instructor at Elk Mountain, Pennsylvania and a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America.
