Meet the Dentist

Cosmetic Dentist Seattle, Dr. S. David Buck Dr. Buck was one of the first dentists in the country to completely stop the use of amalgam (mercury) fillings in 1990. He also pioneered development and installation of the first mercury separation system in North America, and went on to help found a company that produces the leading separation systems in the world. This unique environmental system prevents amalgam filling particles from entering the waste water stream and contaminating the environment with mercury. He has received the Governor’s award for environmental excellence in pollution prevention. He has also received a coveted 5 star envirostar rating for excellence in environmentally sound business practices.

Dr. Buck has mastered the use of non-toxic tooth colored filling materials and he teaches other dentists the art and science of using these materials at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He also has the title of Regional Director at the Institute. He has a regional reputation as an expert in bio compatible dentistry, and enjoys lecturing and teaching dentists from around the country in these important topics. Dr. Buck has authored a chapter in the book, “You Can Live” on natural and holistic healing and dentistry. He has also published in leading dental journals on clinical topics related to adhesion and dentistry.

After four years of intensive study, Dr. Buck has recently been awarded the LVIM Mastership award from LVI. The rigorous program of testing and review is designed to recognize dentists who demonstrate an exceptional level of competency in full mouth, neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Buck is one of fewer then twenty dentists worldwide to have reached this distinction, which represents the pinnacle of skill and artistry in complex dental treatment.

Dr. Buck is now on track to become a certified dental sleep medicine provider. In conjunction with qualified physicians who treat sleep disorders, Dr. Buck is part of a comprehensive obstructive sleep apnea team. He can provide medically approved oral sleep appliances to manage the deadly disease of sleep apnea.
