This program investigates the in-depth scientific principles of neuromuscular dentistry. This hands-on program will focus on the need to find the orthopedic position of the jaw in space:
This course teaches the dentists how to perfect their bite taking techniqe This course enahnces their knowledge of TMD denitstry as it relates to aesthetic dentistry. The curriculum will lead dentists to the ultimate goal of effectively treating patients predictably and conservatively through muscle physiology and neurophysiology. The scientific principles and clinical use of EMG, CMS, ESG and Jaw Tracking will be investigated and understood. • Define best practices in the use of good occlusal techniques in preparing a patient for restorative care.
24 hours
This six-day, live-patient treatment program where the dentists will bring their own patients for treatment will show dentists the initial aspect of doing a smile makeover. They will handle more complex cases (bruxers, restoring vertical dimension, restoring severely dark teeth without black lines around the gums, creating life like, natural looking bridges, etc.) treating function as well as aesthetics. Perhaps the most important aspect of the program is, understanding why cases succeeded, and why they fail and how to prevent that failure before it happens. Dentists leave with an understanding of why so many people need this type of treatment. Fine tune their skills and take their cases from good to outstanding.

• how to identify upper airway obstruction in the development of malocclusion , micrognathia and reconstruction failures
• Describe etiology and correction of tongue thrust
• Understand the role that malocclusion plays in TMD growth and development of the cranio-facial structures
• Recognize retruded mandibles and over-closed bites
• Describe degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis) other than systemic disease
• Understand myofacial pain dysfunction
• Evaluate the 12 cranial nerves as they relate to the TMD patient
• Perform radiographic evaluations, diagnose and treat TMJ conditions
• Interpret records, documentation, and data gathering protocols
• Treat TMJ neuromuscularly and non-surgically
• Stabilize the musculoskeletally-comprised patient
• Understand medical dental legal protocols – how to handle subpoenas, attorneys, depositions, reports, and fees
23 hours
This is an intense 3 day course on using Computerizd Jaw Tracking and reading the tension of the muscles of the head and neck and sonography of the TMJ by the TMD treating dentists. This course will allow the dentists to better understand and diagnose patients with TMJ issues.
23 hours
THESE DENTISTS WILL HAVE A SUPERIOR TRAINING TO: • Understand postural effects and interrelationships with the occlusion will include a consideration of the balance organ and the central control of total body muscle activity necessary to maintain posture and balance including the hip, the shoulder, and the upper and lower limbs.
• Discuss the neurological and neurotransmitter control of mastication and posture will be examined in sufficient detail to explain the process and mechanism of bruxism and clenching, in particular. In this respect, the functional anatomy of the autonomic nervous system will be reviewed.
• Learn the embryology of the cranial base/upper cervical complex and its importance in developing occlusal plane will include the role of tooth eruption in the determination of the occlusion.
• Interpret the relationship between functional anatomy and acupuncture meridia will receive attention and will include a review of auricular acupuncture points in treatment of pain.
