  This three-day course brings everything together. The focus is on key components in finishing treatment. These components include such areas as combination treatment, appliances, closing options, and aesthetics. The first step in bringing it all together is an understanding of the history. The history is further supported with a review of several case studies spanning many years.
  In session three, Dr. Gerber will cover why cases fail and how to avoid common mistakes. Participants will have the tools to present orthodontic cases to patients in an easy-to-understand manor. There is additional coverage on treatment mechanics and treatment sequences specifically as it relates to more complex cases. Participants will also learn several age related treatment options. Finishing to the correct functional treatment is emphasized.
  Goal of session # 3: The primary goal of this session is to specifically define final positioning of the maxillo-mandibular relationship from a neuromuscular perspective and to demonstrate the interrelations of treatment concepts and methodology as it relates to the overall scheme of modern aesthetics.   This is a 4-part residency (each installment is 2 days) that teaches the fundamentals of Biobloc Orthotropics, a facial growth guidance technique developed by Dr. John Mew in the 1950’s. Biobloc is intended for children, ages 6-12, to correct their oral posture, guide their facial growth, and improve airway. The course consists of an overview of the Biobloc Orthotropic philosophy, live patient observation, case presentation, and a discussion on auxillary treatment (i.e., myofunctional therapists.). This means to you that this dentist has extensive training in Myofacial treatment, airway obstruction evaluation, orthodontics and Neuromuscular Orthodontics.
