THESE DENTISTS WILL HAVE A SUPERIOR TRAINING TO: • Understand postural effects and interrelationships with the occlusion will include a consideration of the balance organ and the central control of total body muscle activity necessary to maintain posture and balance including the hip, the shoulder, and the upper and lower limbs.
• Discuss the neurological and neurotransmitter control of mastication and posture will be examined in sufficient detail to explain the process and mechanism of bruxism and clenching, in particular. In this respect, the functional anatomy of the autonomic nervous system will be reviewed.
