Meet the Dentist

Dr. Nils Olson is a 1977 graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland Dental School. He also holds a double degree – a BA/BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Olson has been an Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1997, and since then has received his Fellowship with the Academy. There are approximately 8,000 members of this prestigious academy, however, 243 dentists worldwide have achieved the Accreditation status and only 39 have Fellowship status. Dr. Olson is the only Accredited AACD dentist in the Frederick regional area, and one of only two Accredited Fellows in Maryland. He also currently serves as an Examiner for Accreditation with the Academy, and is a member of the Accreditation Committee for the AACD.

In addition to the AACD, Dr. Olson is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. There are only four dnetists in North America to be both an Accredited Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Olson has studied with many of the best known cosmetic and restorative dentists in the world, including Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Jimmy Eubank, Dr. Jeff Morley, Dr. Larry Rosenthal and the best known of all, Dr. Bill Dorfman, the Extreme Makeover dentist.

Dr. Olson has been a clinical instructor for several esthetic programs across the country and enjoys speaking to small and large groups on cosmetic dentistry.
